When it comes to wedding planning, chairs don't often make the 'most important' list, or any list for that matter, except maybe for the 'last minute details' list. For that reason, Amber Springs would like to showcase one of the most overlooked decorating details, a detail that bears a lot of 'weight'.
What your guests sit on during the ceremony and reception doesn't always come above finding the perfect venue (Amber Springs anyone?) on the priorities list. When it comes to your special day, let's not overlook something that your guests will spend 75% of their time sitting on. Chairs are also a great way to add to your décor. Ribbons, bows, slip covers or painted; you can dress up almost any chair to make it fit into theme and even setting of your wedding.
Take the chairs below. They all started off as a bare plastic, metal or wooden chair, but have been dressed up, or stripped down to compliment the wedding theme and colors. Next, when picking out a chair you should think about comfort. If you’re having a long outside ceremony, find a chair that is nice to sit in on unstable ground (like sand or grass). If you know your maid of honor’s speech is going to involve memories and tears, you should definitely make sure that your guests are comfortable so that they too can share in the memories in tears and not worry about their uncomfortable bottoms. The black chairs below are nicely dressed for the ceremony and won’t be a pain in the butt come speech time.

Most of all have fun when picking out the chairs! It doesn’t have to be a monotonous task if you don’t let it be. Think of your chairs as the one thing that looks good in any color and is always the same shape, so no need to hem, trim or take out.
You are the king and queen of the day so why not sit like them?
