Sit A Spell

When it comes to wedding planning, chairs don't often make the 'most important' list, or any list for that matter, except maybe for the 'last minute details' list. For that reason, Amber Springs would like to showcase one of the most overlooked decorating details, a detail that bears a lot of 'weight'.

What your guests sit on during the ceremony and reception doesn't always come above finding the perfect venue (Amber Springs anyone?) on the priorities list. When it comes to your special day, let's not overlook something that your guests will spend 75% of their time sitting on. Chairs are also a great way to add to your décor. Ribbons, bows, slip covers or painted; you can dress up almost any chair to make it fit into theme and even setting of your wedding.

Take the chairs below. They all started off as a bare plastic, metal or wooden chair, but have been dressed up, or stripped down to compliment the wedding theme and colors.  Next, when picking out a chair you should think about comfort. If you’re having a long outside ceremony, find a chair that is nice to sit in on unstable ground (like sand or grass). If you know your maid of honor’s speech is going to involve memories and tears, you should definitely make sure that your guests are comfortable so that they too can share in the memories in tears and not worry about their uncomfortable bottoms. The black chairs below are nicely dressed for the ceremony and won’t be a pain in the butt come speech time.

Most of all have fun when picking out the chairs! It doesn’t have to be a monotonous task if you don’t let it be. Think of your chairs as the one thing that looks good in any color and is always the same shape, so no need to hem, trim or take out.

You are the king and queen of the day so why not sit like them?

Want to have a truly personalized wedding? Here’s how!

The DIY wedding has turned into an extremely popular phenomenon. And why not? It costs less, it’s more fun and it makes your wedding entirely your own.

Making decorations and favors can be a really fun experience for you, your fiancé and the wedding party. These things don’t need to be complicated, in fact, the simpler the better, in most cases.

You may be thinking, ”But, I’m not the most creative person in the world… What do I do?”

That’s a valid point. After all, not all of us are interior designers. We might know what we’d want our wedding to look like, but to actually achieve it could be really difficult. Luckily, plenty of people are out there to help us with our problem.

Wedding blogs, like the aptly named diywedding.org/, offer great ideas for wedding looks. Scroll through posts and you’ll be sure to find something to help with your personal aesthetic.

This site even has a Harry Potter inspired wedding: http://greenweddingshoes.com/harry-potter-wedding-inspiration/

If you can find a Harry Potter wedding, you should be able to find just about anything! So, fret not! For those of us who aren’t necessarily creative geniuses, real creative geniuses have blogs!

Wedding Photography at Amber Springs

Bride after bride, guest after guest—people just love Amber Springs. It could be the rustic feel of the facilities or the ten acres of land for guests to roam around during events—it could be the great service provided to make every event detail just perfect. Or, it could be a mixture of everything.

Amber Springs came into existence in 2009 in order to offer the best possible event location for the North Houston area. Even before building completion, people booked it for their events, according to a reviewer on Wedding Bee. Another reviewer wrote that “the pine wood makes it smell delicious!” The scent of pine, the landscaping, water features, bridges, architecture and more all culminate into a truly fairylike wedding locale, right in the heart of Texas.

A wedding day goes by so quickly for those involved, so you really need photos or video to remember your special day. Amber Springs’ clients have found that their photos turn out just beautifully. The natural light of the outdoors, the rustic building backdrops and the amazing landscape make for photographic memories like no other. Let’s face it… our own memories don’t always quite do the work we need for nostalgia. Everyone needs photographers and photographers need a good setting to work with—and they just love Amber Springs. Take a look at the amazing photos, whether a premeditated pose or a fun candid, they look incredible.

Don’t those photos look incredible? The wooden bridge and building interior make for simply beautiful photos no matter what’s going on in the picture. A truly perfect North Houston wedding!
