Today let’s talk about the bride! With all this DIY and tips on how to plan a party for your guests, it’s time the bride gets some focus. I love watching a bride walk down the isle of their wedding venue and seeing the dress, hair, makeup and shoes all come together to create a true princess. The second thing I love watching is the grooms face as soon as he sees his bride, but that’s a whole other post topic. Sometimes I like to think that on a bride’s wedding day little fairies appear and wave their little wands to make the bride look absolutely perfect. Since we all know that’s not true, let’s give some snaps for all those hairdressers, makeup artists, bridesmaids, best friends, mothers and sisters who are the true magic fairies when it comes to making sure their bride’s day is perfect.

So let’s get right down to it. We’re going to showcase some of the coolest bridal makeup, most beautiful wedding day hair and of course the most spectacular SHOES we could find!

First up, make-up. I know many brides who kept it nude on their wedding day. They figured that the dress was enough distraction that they didn’t need to play up the eyes or lips. Then again I know brides who went over the top with pretty much everything they did, including the makeup. Smokey eyes? Check. Siren red lips? You got it baby.

Everyone’s hair is different. It reacts differently to curling, heat and humidity so many of the hairstyles you see in magazines or online aren’t going to be realistic for your type of hair. The best thing to do is bring a few different hairstyle ideas to your hairdresser and trust them to do what works best for your hair. Below are some of the styles we love for long, medium length and short hair.

Who cares if your dress is a stunning floor length gown that won’t let an inch of your shoes show? Psh not me! Go out and get yourself a pair of totally funky (yet comfortable) shoes that you LOVE and rock them under that long, sweeping gown. It’ll be our little secret.
