This is Miranda White- an adventurous, animal-loving, new Venue Manager for THE SPRINGS in The Woodlands
To get to know her better, we’ve set up this little interview – here we go!
Miranda, how did you hear about THE SPRINGS & what were you doing before working with us?
I first heard about THE SPRINGS through a wedding that I was invited to. My background prior to starting at THE SPRINGS was in marketing & events. I worked as a Fundraising Coordinator & Events Marketing Coordinator planning events & working on organizational marketing initiatives.
After planning my wedding, I knew I wanted to get into the industry. I was so thrilled when I was offered the opportunity to be the manager here at The Woodlands location. It seemed like the absolutely perfect fit for me & I couldn’t wait to get started!
You were recently married, CONGRATS! Tell us about your wedding & sweetheart, Andrew.
I met my amazing husband in college. The first day of the semester this good looking guy comes strolling into our Sport Management class & I immediately leaned over to my friend & said, “dang, who is that guy?!”
Andrew stole my heart from the moment we started hanging out. We were both athletes at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor; Andrew played baseball & I played basketball & we just had so much in common.
He was the southern gentlemen I always dreamed of finding & on June 1st, 2013, my handsome prince asked me to be his wife on a horse drawn carriage ride through downtown San Antonio! On May 17th, 2014, I became Mrs. Miranda White.
Our wedding day was a dream come true & I had the most amazing and fun time planning it! There is not one thing I regret about our wedding & I would do it all over again. A wedding is not only a special time for the bride & groom, but for all the family & friends who helped get them to where they are today. We wanted our wedding to not only be a celebration of our love and two lives becoming one, but a thank you to all the people who loved & supported us throughout our lives.
When you’re not working, what are some things you like to do?
I love working out & playing sports- anything outdoorsy, count me in! I love crafting & DIY projects. Shopping is a hobby & Target is my 2nd home. I have two fur babies, Jade & Easton, who I’m obsessed with & I love planning events & hosting parties.
You started working for THE SPRINGS in July 2016 – what’s the best part so far?
The best part is getting to play a role in such a special time in so many individuals’ lives. The fact that I get to show and offer couples such a beautiful place that will be the backdrop for their special day is something that just makes my heart happy.
The SPRINGS staff is so great and has welcomed me with open arms. I am so grateful for everyone here and for everything they do on a daily basis to help our venue run so smoothly! I value each of them and what they bring to THE SPRINGS!
And finally, what are some other fun facts about you?
1) My favorite animal? Pandas
2) My weakness? Kit Kats
3) My team? The Dallas Cowboys
4) For every meal, I could eat…? P-I-Z-Z-A!
5) Favorite holiday? 4th of July
6) Random? I love “National Days” & I check each morning to know what the day has to celebrate
