The Springs Events is proud to announce a new venue opening in South Houston in early 2016. This site will be unlike any other Springs Venue reception hall – it’ll be a plantation-style reception venue with indoor and outdoor ceremony options. The 2-story colonial building will feature stately columns on the front entry porch with double doors in the center. As you drive up to the mansion, you’ll be surrounded by some of Texas’ largest oak trees that shade the driveway.
The large parking lot has guest drop off options, both a roundabout at the front and a side covered portico on the side entry. On the interior of the hall, you’ll walk into a huge open space fit for up to 320 guests. All chairs and tables are included with a full day rental for taking the preparations and celebrations at your own pace. The ceremony & reception can be hosted at one location, for ease of hosting the perfect event with little complication for travel.
The second story has a wrap-around balcony overlook that surrounds the top floor. The flooring is perfect for dancing the night away and will have stained concrete and rustic wood accents in true antebellum style. The lighting above will be 6 grand chandeliers and spotlighting with iron & crystal accents. On the bottom floor, you’ll be able to easily maneuver all the logistics of the night with two large built-ins for beverages and catering set up. The kitchen is easily accessed by a service door and all catering is welcomed, no need to purchase through the venue. As with any Springs Venue location, you can be as DIY as you want and choose all of your own vendors to provide services as you please.
The prominent feature of the interior reception hall is a grand staircase for a perfect bridal party introduction to the celebration, that boasts iron and white wood for an exquisite focal point of the hall. There is also a large, bricked fireplace on the interior side wall to make the room cozy and intimate. The bridal party can get ready onsite in the large dressing suites – the bride suite is conveniently located downstairs off the main hall and the groom suite is upstairs with masculine features. There is a secret staircase to make photo opportunities easy – simply sneak up the staircase after the ceremony to have private moments together and prep for the reception entry down the grand staircase. It’s also a great way to be able to take photos before the ceremony without the guests able to see you ahead of time.
The outdoor ceremony site is accessed from the hall over a bridge to landscaped grounds. The Springs is very aware of how important lush & manicured lawns are to creating a gorgeous backdrop and much thought has been put into making the outdoor scenery spectacular. As guests enter the outdoor ceremony, they’ll be greeted with evergreen plants and fauna and seated on white, padded garden chairs facing an immaculate & stately gazebo. The gazebo will have 8 floor-to-ceiling pillars, all painted white, with trimwork above – it’s all in the details. The gazebo is octagonal in shape with 3 shorter sides on the east and west and a large stage front with 3 steps all the way around. The bridal party will be visible to all with the elevated ceremony site and heard by everyone with the built in PA system, all included of course.
