Three years ago, Kayla Lehner and Riley Davis met Austin Stone Church.

She was visiting with a friend of hers, and Riley just so happened to be a friend of this friend. When the following week rolled around, Kayla wanted to go to church again, but since her friend was unable to attend, she contacted Riley and asked him to sit next to Kayla during the service so she wouldn’t be by herself. Of course, Riley agreed and at the end of service that day, he asked for her phone number. A week later, they went on their first date – and the rest is history.

Kayla and Riley officially tied the knot on June 5, 2015 in a beautiful outdoor ceremony here in Texas Hill Country.

The bride’s father built a custom arch to create a gorgeous backdrop not only for the ceremony, but for the wedding reception as well. As soon as the couple was pronounced as husband and wife, the arch was brought into the hall and set up behind the head table.

We thought it was so great that Kayla’s father was able to contribute this way, but it turns out that he wasn’t the only one to lend something to the special day. The beautiful bride actually chose to wear her mother’s wedding dress – which she had altered.

We can only imagine how emotional that was for the mother of the bride!

Until recently, Riley served as the assistant coach to for the UT Basketball team, under Coach Rick Barnes. After their honeymoon, however, Riley and Kayla will be relocating to Tennessee, where Riley will continue his coaching career under Rick Barnes once again.

We wish them both the very best of luck on this new adventure! Congratulations, newlyweds!
