Reflecting on her wedding planning process, Kirby said, “I was inspired by English rose gardens. I wanted lots of florals and greenery for a very romantic and whimsical feeling. I love natural light, so I wanted everything to feel very airy and bright.”

Kirby + Michael celebrated their Best Day Ever at THE SPRINGS in Angleton (Magnolia Manor) on Saturday, June 30th alongside 200 of their very favorite people.

When speaking of her venue, Kirby told us, “We booked at THE SPRINGS almost two years in advance. I fell in love with the huge expanse of light that Magnolia Manor offered and the beautiful greenery that surrounded the gazebo. We loved the old, Southern feel of the manor and the SPRINGS staff were so helpful and accommodating. We visited several times before booking, and even after booking, we’d bring family and friends up to see the venue and were always greeted with a smile.”

The English Rose Garden-Inspired Ceremony

“We wanted our ceremony to feel very much like us. We shared a private first look beforehand and I was able to read the last note from my great-grandmother who, sadly never got to see us engaged, but urged me to marry Michael. It was an emotional moment but I’m so glad we have that piece of her still. Michael walked both my and his mother down the aisle and I loved how it symbolized our blended family. We wrote our own vows and had exchanged private letters the night before. Neither of us are very emotional, but it was nice to see the mixture of humor and emotion as we vowed to hold and keep each other for the rest of our lives.”

The English Rose-Garden Inspired Reception

“Michael and I both wanted our guests to have a true Saturday night party. We had amazing food with a beautiful layout, complete with three types of mac n cheese as appetizers, tower salads, and a to-die-for parmesan risotto. The dance floor was never empty and we had many fast-paced dance songs (a “Nice for What” dance war was initiated), as well as several meaningful slow songs to remind us why we there in the first place. Michael and I loved dancing with each other and our friends and family, we even discovered some of our guests had some hidden dancing talents!”

Kirby’s Favorite Wedding Day Memory

“My favorite memory from our wedding day was our private last dance. I was able to take in the whole day with my new husband and have a moment away from our guests. We danced to my absolute favorite song and just got to bask in being actually married for a moment.”
