Leslie + Taylor celebrated their Best Day Ever at THE SPRINGS in Weatherford (Westwood Hall)
on Saturday, May 26th alongside 162 of their very favorite people.

When asked about her venue, Leslie said, THE SPRINGS was the first and ONLY venue that we toured. We fell in love with the landscaping, the structure of the building, the rustic elegant look, etc. We could envision our wedding during our tour and we knew THE SPRINGS was where we would get married. We couldn’t picture our wedding anywhere else!”

L + T’s Favorite Wedding Day Memory

“The whole day was honestly our favorite, BUT our favorite part of the wedding day was our first look. We were both flooded with emotions and so happy to see each other. It was our time to let it sink in that we were about to start our journey together.”

The Ceremony // Simple Elegance

“Our ceremony was very special and very us. The ceremony area was decorated in greenery with roses and lanterns, it was gorgeous. Since my mom was not able to be there, we had the first chair reserved with her photo on the first row, she also had a bouquet on her chair. My Papa and my dad walked me down the aisle. They are both SO important to me, I needed them both to walk me. Taylor’s father, Todd Elms, was his Best Man (Todd had his father as his best man 25+ years ago). Taylor and Todd walked his mother, Christy, down the aisle. Before Christy sat down, she gave my grandmother a rose and placed a rose on my mom’s chair. It was very sentimental to what she did at her wedding. Taylor’s grandfather, Jay Elms, officiated our wedding and did such a beautiful job — it was so personal and special to us. We wrote our own personal vows and they brought the waterworks. It was so personal and started our marriage off perfectly. When we were walking down the aisle after the ceremony, I gave Christy a rose, just like she did, and it was our special way of bringing my mother in law officially into my life.”

The Reception // Simple Elegance

“Our reception area was very warm and inviting. We used light linen with alternating centerpieces of rustic lanterns, floating candles and geometric, modern lanterns with greenery and roses. We placed our cakes on the stage, along with my bridal portrait, to make the perfect backdrop for our sweetheart table. Our first dance was so memorable, we had started dance lessons 3 weeks prior to the wedding (I do not recommend cutting it close like we did — it was a short amount of time to learn a dance, but we did it!) I had a Papa-Granddaughter dance with my Papa and a Father-Daughter Dance with my dad and I loved them both. Taylor danced with his mother and it was beautiful. After dinner, DJ Astronaut made everyone get up to dance — he calls it the “Circle of Love” and it kept everyone on the dance floor all night! We had never had so much fun in our entire life. At the end of the reception, we had our private “last dance” and it was so special. It was our moment to let it all sink in that we just had the greatest day of our lives and we were MARRIED!”
